You then get in a tiny elevator which lifts you to the restaurant itself. The restaurant is located inside the Casino de Madrid building, which is fascinatingly fancy. It’s always a bit difficult to describe experiences like these and fit them within a 5-star system, because it lacks depth. So I guess the problem is in the service. (Kitchen was in open space and it was very clean). I really understand that maybe they wanted to close (we are from the last customers) but in a restaurant who would like to serve set menu and it is Michelin recommended it is not good that your guest feels unwanted. Secondly the service was problematic because she was always in a harry and everything moved very quick. I call the assistant boy to clean which again clean it with a dirty towel! In general it is a very well comfort food restaurant with modern and creative kitchen.įor me the main problem is that because they are in harry to close they were really careless.Īfter we finish our dinner and we are waiting desert the table was really dirty and the waitress saw it but she is not feeling that it is problem ☹️ and leave it as it was dirty!!!! The “attraction” dish was Pork Head (it’s for 4 persons) which was salty and crunchy as should be but it’s was totally fatty so except of the surprise it is not something that you want to eat more than a 1 or 2 bites. There are 3set menus at the restaurant starts with 42€ (4dishes), 55€ (5dishes) and 75 € the whole set menu.

Don't plan for much afterwards, as you'll leave full and likely tipsy. They have pretty good stuff, which is to be expected I guess. The wine menu is comprehensive, and to be fair, on the expensive side. It's the first time this has happened to me, having visited quite a few fancy restaurants. As an anecdote, they realized that I'm left handed and offered to serve me the wine and put the cutlery on my left side. Pretty nice location, excellently located in Madrid. I don't think you can compare it to any other place I've been. It's the most unique high-end restaurant we've visited in Spain. The 3 fish "sides" we got were otherwordly. There's a mixture of show and finish, but without compromising the flavors. It draws a heavy inspiration from different Asian cuisines. The flavors are very unique and creative. But that couldn't be further from the truth. You might think that all the hype, all the TV-shows, publicity, and so on might obscure the important part, which is the food. The oolong filling was very aromatic and a great end to our meal. This is THE temple of food in Madrid. It’s just like cream puffs but are stuffed with milk oolong with chantilly cream on the side.

It’s really interesting how this dish tastes western yet asian at the same time, the ribeye is flavourful and it almost feels like the steak is slow-braised in some sauce, yet able to maintain it medium rare!🤤 I highly recommend trying this dish! The ribeye which came medium rare somehow tastes asian, i guess they really lived up to their name as a fusion restaurant. 🥩Black Angus Beef Ribeye (supplement +$12) The fish is well-cooked and comes in a big portion in clam & scallion emulsion. Kuhlbarra is barramundi that is raised in the wild off the coast of Singapore and produced in Australia. I got this as an additional appetiser out of the course set menu because i was craving it🤣 but I might not recommend getting this unless you are craving for it cause it just tastes like any other another truffle fries with what i think is truffle mayo at the side. The har cheong gai tastes very local (as the name suggest), it almost feels like a more atas version of popcorn chicken with caviar and goji jam topped on each individual chicken bites. The cold angel hair tastes refreshing and acts as a good appetiser before our mains as it has a slight hint of vinegar. This dish has trout ikura, tobiko and beluga caviar, so i thought is was really worth to top-up an extra $5 to enjoy 3 different types of roes in a single dish. A dish on the normal menu costs abt $20-30 so I thought the lunch set provides the most value for money for someone who wants to experience semi-fine dining without having it to cost a bomb! I went with my bf and we ordered a 2-course and a 3-course set. Their interior is rlly modern n has a tiffany blue kind of aesthetic which is great for taking photos. Despite this, VENUS exudes a calm and soothing vibe which is a great break from the fast paced and busy environment.
